The Crime That Is The Iraq War - by Will Grigg
Prolibertate

Oh Thrill, Oh Joy
Posted by Lew Rockwell on June 30, 2009 09:20 AM The US’s Iraqi puppet government
has declared today to be a new puppet government holiday, “National Sovereignty
Day,” because US occupation troops are withdrawing (except when they are not)
from Iraqi cities to their gigantic bases elsewhere in that US possession, National
Pentagon Radio informed me this morning.

Bankrupt? Who’s bankrupt?

So on the one o’clock newsbreak, the radio tells me that
Pennsylvania and Illinois can’t make payroll for the state
employees, and California is right behind them.

Then in the very next breath, the newscaster gives an
update on where O’Bama’s national socialized medicine is
at. Does this not strike anyone as ludicrous? The Federal
government is bankrupt. The state governments are
bankrupt. The economy is in a depression. And we’re going
to create the largest entitlement program in the history of
the planet??

No time is it appropriate to start an unconstitutional
boondoggle, but now??

Des Moines Tea Party loses focus

The Des Moines coordinator for the July 4 Tea Party was on KPSZ 940
this morning from 8:30 to 9:00. I just caught the last few minutes when
I heard him say that the Tea Party "movement" needed to focus on a more
specific agenda. This included educational and study efforts away from
the actual days of events. And at this event, one of the focuses would be
"right to work".

I wasn't aware we didn't have that. The Democrat regime we have in Iowa
has repeatedly screwed labor, not helped them. In '08 it was the Governor
that Labor put in Terrace Hill that screwed Labor. In '09 it was 3 Legislators
that screwed Labor. The right to work in crappy jobs at minimum wage has
not been abridged in Iowa. Funny thing, even though Labor has their "friends"
in the Governors office, the Senate, and the House, they still get screwed! Mainly
because the Union Leaders, who have been bought off, continue to support
Democrats mindlessly.

I suppose there is a certain Freedom issue, about being able to get a good
paying union job, without paying union dues, because for some reason
it is your "right" to get the pay, without belonging to the union. There is
a small case there, as Union Leadership at the national level is worthless
and corrupt. They ARE only concerned only about the Leftist agenda, not a
Labor agenda, that is true, at the national level.

But for the Tea Party movement to focus on THAT, is a little like working
to deny illegal immigrants welfare, while allowing millions to come into
the country every year! First things first! Your damn right, illegal aliens
shouldn't get welfare, because they shouldn't be in the country! Get your
damn priorities straight.

Why not focus on our bastard Government that has taxed and regulated
industry into moving south of the border and overseas? What the hell
is the point of "right to work", when there ain't any damn good jobs?
That is a little like the damn unions continuing to support Democrat
politicians for getting them a longer lunch break, while not noticing
that their policies are forcing their job overseas in 6 months anyway
so it won't matter a damn!

Focus on the damn goverment regulation and taxation, not on the
working man. That is where your protest needs to be.

And you're damn right I'm pissed, you destroy the working and middle
class, and you destroy the resistance to tyranny. People with no means,
cannot resist total government control. It takes money and property
to resist the nanny state. People at minimum wage are too busy
surviving to fight back.

Right to work is a damned red herring, worry about that once we
get the jobs back ya morons.

Sincerity? Glenn Beck Can Fake That

Posted by William Grigg at www.LewRockwell.com on June 24, 2009 12:17 AM
During the 2008 presidential campaign, Fox News blatherskite Glenn Beck (who at the time was with CNN) traduced Ron Paul and his supporters as potential domestic terrorists.
He later featured Dr. Paul in several interviews and treated him respectfully, going so far as to compliment him on his principled and prescient economic views — while pointedly condemning his lack of zeal for murdering Muslims. (Beck, at one point, criticized American Muslims for not lining up at recruiting offices for the chance “to shoot the bad Muslims in the head,” warning that their lack of nationalistic zeal might prompt other Americans to “round you up” and put them behind “razor wire.”)
Beck has also passionately and repeatedly endorsed torture as a “counter-terrorist” tactic.
Beck has now emerged as something of a key media cheerleader for that element of the “Tea Party” movement that discovered the evils of government profligacy, executive dictatorship, and economic fascism shortly after noon last January 20th.

A self-identified “Rodeo Clown,” Beck is often seen awash in tears, his face contorted with bravely suppressed emotion as he is rendered verklempt by his love of,  and concern for, our country. Or something.
Well, to the surprise of nobody who can exercise even a particle of educated skepticism, the tears of that Rodeo Clown are as bogus as Joe Biden’s hairline.
Gawker describes Beck’s recent photo shoot for GQ magazine with photographer Jill Greenberg, whom Beck condemned last year as a leftist “nut job” who “terrorizes children.” He referred to an earlier shoot in which Greenberg, to make what she considered an artistic point of some sort, gave candy to children and then took it away and photographed their reactions.
Greenberg wanted to capture Beck’s notorious lachrymosity, and the blabbermouth — more than willing to set aside ideological and artistic scruples — eagerly complied. Greenberg gave Beck just a little bit of chemical help in order to get the “money shot.” The results are suitably dramatic, if not Oscar-worthy.
“The crying was my idea, and Glenn was cool with trying it,” according to  Greenberg. “We used mentholated balm to make his eyes tear up naturally. From then on it was acting on his part. He had fun with it and was a great sport.”
Actually, Beck was eerily channelling Tom Grunick, William Hurt’s dim-witted sports reporter-turned-network anchorman in the 1987 film Broadcast News, who also had a gift for shedding real tears on-camera.

                          Farrah Fawcett                 Newsweek

It was a sad day on Thursday for those men everywhere who are pushing
50 and more, Farrah Fawcett passed away. Looking it up on Wikipedia, it
confirmed my remembrance that she was from Texas. I think part of what
made her such a HUGE star (especially with men), was that she came across
as being really nice. And with her poster being plastered on bedroom walls
all across America back in the 70's, I think boys liked a good dose of nice
with their fantasy girl.

Highlights from the July 2009 JBS Bulletin

Arthur R. Thompson again had a great article. Comments on "The Truth In Time"
piece from Robert Welch in the 1966 Bulletin. He hints at the Conspiracy and its
influence in early America, specifically the Revolutionary War period and the
Civil War era. He mentions why it is so critical for the powers that be, to keep
Americans ignorant. We are the only hope the world has for Freedom. [pg 1]

What do La Raza and the Supreme Court have in common?? Sonia Sotomayor!!
McManus has a great piece pointing out that the msm hasn't bothered to question
her about her deep involvement with this racist/separatist group. [pg 8]

Below that one, was another on page 8 called Good News Report by Bill Hahn. He
shows the trickery employed by the NYT in their upcoming piece on the JBS.

On page 4 was an important piece about getting connected at the newly designed
and member friendly JBS Interactive Page . You can use the power of the
internet for you, because it will most certainly be used against you.

And, on page 1, it mentioned the importance of Birchers being at the July 4
Tea Parties, so as to pass out the End the Fed flyer, and the DVD, Beware
of Article V.

When The Jackbooted Ones Strike…

Posted by William Grigg at www.LewRockwell.com on June 24, 2009 11:36 AM
… it’s good to have neighbors willing to intercede, explain Mark and Deborah Kuhn of Asheville, North Carolina in a video interview with the Motorhome Diaries crew.
The Kuhns, an engaging couple with very detailed knowledge of the plague of authoritarian militarism afflicting our country, were assaulted by police two years ago for the non-crime of displaying a U.S. flag upside down as a form of protest.
On July 25, 2007, a local Sheriff’s deputy named Brian Scarborough — a National Guard soldier who had recently returned from combat duty in occupied Iraq — attempted to arrest Mark under an ancient, and long-since overturned, state statute against “flag desecration.”
As can be expected, Scarborough treated these Americans as if they were Iraqi “hajis,” vandalizing their home, threatening them with various kinds of violence, and then summoning ten other officers to provide lethal “backup” in order to subdue two peaceful, unarmed citizens who had done nothing wrong.
Thanks to the intervention of teenage neighbors — who quite commendably defied police orders to ignore what was going on — this atrocity received nation-wide publicity. Eventually the charges were dropped and “expunged.”
Deputy Scarborough remains on the force, naturally.

Ron Paul Goes First

Posted by Lew Rockwell on June 24, 2009 07:27 AM

A sign of the times: the NY Times prints a forum on the proposed bailout of the high living standards of California state bureaucrats, and Ron Paul is not only asked to participate, he gets to go first. (Thanks to Nick DelMedico)
Oh, and for another sign, note the invitation (the 2nd in 32 years) by the pro-Fed Cato Institute for Ron to speak there today, on the Fed! What’s next? A plea for him to teach monetary economics to Bernanke and the rest of the Board of Governors? Actually, all they have to do is read Ron’s forthcoming book, End the Fed. (Thanks to Norm)

Rush sub plugs Sanford for President

Rush sub Mark Davis was busy plugging SC Governor Mark Sanford for
Republican nominee in 2012. That figures.

You don't become President in this country without the blessing of the
Bilderbergers.

On the Prison Planet website, there is a video of Sanford being questioned
about his attendance at the 2008 Bilderberg meeting. Posted below that,
was a letter from a constituent asking him about it. The constituent said
Sanford "was one of us, he's on our side". Another said "he wasn't one of
those".

News flash! You don't become Governor, and be mentioned for President,
without being a globalist insider. How clueless are these people?

Why Dr. No Bothers the Regime

Posted by Lew Rockwell on June 21, 2009 12:42 PM

If 375 members of the House of Hyenas vote to take the NY Times line on Iran, and 30 vote no, the no votes are irrelevant. But if one man votes no, his opposition is all of a sudden interesting. And if that man is Ron Paul, as it invariably is, Americans and people around the world want to know his reasons. This drives the regime and its media crazy; even outlying affiliates like the Houston Press’s Richard Connelly feel called upon to say, Pay No Attention to This Man! Good luck, Dick.

‘Confidential memo reveals US plan to provoke an invasion of Iraq’

Posted by Lew Rockwell on June 21, 2009 06:21 PM

Here is more information, as if we needed it, on the deliberate US attempt to gin up a second war against Iraq, resulting in the death of more than a million people. As this same process continues against Iran, ensuring another mountain of skulls, here is what we should remember: every single US war has apparently been ginned up in similar fashion. “Blessed are the peacemakers” is not exactly official US doctrine. (Thanks to AWC)
