Tonights film at the Ames Public Library...

Tonight's film at the Ames Public Library was

'Revolution by Treaty'. John McManus described

how the Federal Government through deceit and

illegal behavior is subverting the Constitution and

infringing on individual Liberties.

As an example, Washington insider up through the

sixties, John Foster Dulles, believed that treaties

superseded the Constitution, something that couldn't

be further from the truth. But what can we expect

from a founding CFR member.

More current examples are NAFTA, which couldn't even

achieve treaty status, yet is ushering the U.S. into

the North American Union.

The treaty which got us into the United Nations. A

body which is contrary to the Constitution, and therefore

any subsequent edict out of the UN should

therefore have been void.

The UN's Agenda 21, that property grabbing

obscenity from the early 90's.

It seemed that all these foreign entanglements

therefore have led us into that bizarre time

when Supreme Court Justices of the United States,

with a straight face, look to International Law,

for guidance in domestic cases.

This one is national we need all to show, 20 or 30 people won't hack it. I need 2 or 3 hundred of you to show. It would be better that 4 or 5 hundred or more of you to show.

I would like to extend an invitation to the Minuteman Package out of Minnesota, Minutemen out of Nebraska, the Nebraska Advisory Group, The Riders against illegal Aliens, the United Citizens, and Mothers against Illegal aliens, If someone has another organization that they think would like to participate please forward this E-mail to them. I would love to see some of those Ron Paul supporters show for this they were good at the straw pole.

On the 20th and 21st of August I would like all the Iowa Chapters to conduct a protest in

their main town of their county and to send a news release to your press to cover it.

The reason for this protest is that Bush will be in Canada meeting with their leader and Mexico's leader and try to push the North American Union. The Canadians will be protesting by the 10's of thousands. The people in our country have not woke up enough for us to field those numbers but they will one day. Our numbers are growing all the time. For your kids and grand children come out and support these protest. No one has to howler or act crazy to get across what our message is.

Iowa Republicans Can't Git 'r Done

With the results of the Iowa Republican

Straw Poll to be announced at 7 pm central,

they of course, are now past 1 hour late.

These are the same nitwits who turned away

a father at the door of Hilton Coliseum

and his 2 year old cause the 2 year

old didn't have a ticket. The people at the door

were told "no one gets in without a ticket",

obviously meaning people close to voting age.

Not for those Nazi's, they couldn't figure out

it did not apply to toddlers.

Not impressed with lowlifes at Straw Poll

Ran into more cases of voters taking

advantage of the bus ride or ticket of

one candidate, only to vote for another.

Or taking a "free" t-shirt of someone they

had no intention of voting for. Perhaps the

giver of the t-shirt doesn't care, advertising

is afterall advertising. Still, it strikes me as

low class. Especially when I see them

sucking down the food in a tent they are not

attired for.

What can I expect. This is a state where the

people are so clueless they voted for

Tommy Thompson, and Huckabee, and

Brownback, and gave the victory to Romney.

FairTax.org has large presence at Ames Straw Poll

Complete with Ferris Wheel and tent, and

several thousand signs and brochures,

FairTax.org had a huge amount of visibility

at the Iowa Republican Straw Poll.

Steve from Illinois seemed to be representative

of the group behind this event. Part of that

section of America that feels tax policy will

be the cure for what ails us. I can assure them,

it won't.

It would be nice to see it in place, none the less.

Ron Paul supporters crisscross U.S. to come to Ames

As we approached that section of Iowa State

University, where the Straw Poll was held, one

thing became obvious to even the most obtuse

observer, Ron Paul supporters were everywhere.

And at 8:00 in the morning, they had been there

awhile, even though events didn't begin until 9:00.

Holding Ron Paul signs of all shapes and styles,

the first man I met was Chad from Illinois.

Across from him was a young lady who had

drove, by herself, from California. That has to be

close to 2000 miles.

Wayne was from Reno NV, with his about 10 year old son.

I also saw folks for Ron from Columbus OH, Missouri,

Nebraska, a bus load from Ill, GrannyWarriors.com

from N. Carolina, people from Wisconsin, and

Steve- The Sign Guy from Spartanburg, where

ever that might be.

If sweat and enthusiasm were able to able to bring home

the bacon, It would have been Ron Paul in a landslide.

Romney wins straw poll- from the eyes of attendee

The results are not expected to be for another

2 1/2 hours, but if Romney doesn't win the Ames

straw poll, I would be stunned.

The Mittwits in their yellow "Team Mitt" shirts

were everywhere. And their big red foam

novelty hands. That campaign has money.

And a fleet of golf carts, but that's about it.

Mitt's speech at Hilton Coliseum, first out of the gate,

was nothing but a collection of clichés and

platitudes.

His speech paled in comparison, even in the eyes

of my Democrat son, to the meat and potatoes

speech of Tancredo, or the big picture speech of

Ron Paul.

Regrettably, their efforts will all go for not. Machine

and money triumph once again.

Whilst returning from a superb dinner at Battle's Barbecue

on Welch Ave. in Ames, we happened to go by

Hilton Coliseum where the tents were being readied for

tomorrows absurdity known as the Iowa Republican Straw Poll.

Ron Paul supporters (nuts?) were at People's Bar sampling

the adult beverages. Tancredo supporters were busy stapling

up 4 x 8 foot 'Team Tancredo' signs along Lincoln Way, and

excitement was in the air.

Tomorrow, Birchers from around the state will be driving

in to support one of the 3 Americans in the race, forgetting

all the while, that one man, even one of the 3 right ones,

at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., is not going to affect 'jack' in

this country. Aside from having a figurative and perhaps

literal bull's-eye on his back from the powers that be, it

would be impossible for a President to initiate substantial

change without a House of Representatives that had a

clue about the constitution.

No, not near as fun, or exciting, but vastly more important,

will be 435 House races next fall. Delusion, is an

ingredient of failure.

The ticket vouchers mailed last week must be redeemed at the Tancredo Tent. Don't worry if you didn't get them or if you forget the vouchers at home. Your tickets will still be waiting for you.
All Iowans -Republican, Independent, and Democrat are welcome to come to the straw poll and vote for Tom. All that is necessary is that you have a valid Iowa photo ID and that you are 18 years old by Election Day-- November 7, 2008.
There is plenty of room on our buses. You don't need a reservation - just be on time - and bring a friend too!

If you are arriving by car:

FROM U.S. HIGHWAY 30, take the Elwood North exit (exit 146) toward Iowa State Center. Traffic attendants will direct you to the closest parking area.
Use the Straw Poll Ground map, or follow the signs to the Tancredo tent to check in and pick up your tickets. (NOTE: Those of you who received ticket vouchers in the mail from us must go to the Tancredo Tent and redeem them for Straw Poll tickets.)
Our volunteers will direct you to one of three voting areas where you will present your ID and then cast your vote [NOTE: You must present a valid Iowa driver's license or photo I.D. to vote at the straw poll.]
After you vote for Tom, come back to our tent for a great afternoon of food and fun, or if you must be on your way, say "Hi" to Tom and be about your day!

If you are taking a Tancredo Express Bus:

Check our list of bus pick-up locations and times to find the one most convenient for you. If you have any questions call 1-888-468-6608 and ask for Rachel.
On the day of the Straw Poll, PLEASE BE PROMPT, so as not to keep your fellow troops in Tom's Army against Amnesty waiting.
Each bus will have a bus captain who will instruct you on where to go once the bus arrives in Ames.

Buses will be departing Ames between 5 pm and 6 pm, with the exception of the Des Moines Express which will be running all day long.

Friends,

Just wanted you all to know, Dr. Ron Paul's plans were just finalized for the time slot following the debate on Sunday morning Aug. 5th (ABC begins at 8AM - I am taping it to 10 AM).

10:30 AM - He will attend the worship service at First Federated Church (at the corner of Hickman Rd. and 48th St. in Des Moines). Please join us for worship if you would like.

12:10 PM - 1:30 PM - He will be at the park next to First Federated (located at the corner of 50th St. and Hickman Rd.). Bring a lawn chair and a drink. It sounds like it will be hot! We will be in the NE corner near some of the only trees in the park.

If you are only coming to the Park event, then you will need to park in the small lot off of Hickman that belongs to the Park or along a side street. It really doesn't have any good parking. However, if you don't get there too early and the large lot at First Federated is empty because the traffic from the service has let out, then you may proceed to the NW corner of that lot that joins the Park's boundries.

This is a very touchy deal as we do not want to interfere with the church in anyway.

I say this because it is their policy to only announce that a President, State or federal Congressman or candidate for one of those offices is in their service, but they will not do anything else to accommodate them (whether it is offering a room at the church or space to gather in their parking lot). The reason behind this policy: If they did, they would have to offer the same accommodations to ALL and they may not want to. I actually do see their reasoning behind the policy.

I would like to stress that this is NOT a Rally, it is an impromtu 'Meet Ron Paul' time, and if you plan to come, please try to bring at least one person that has not heard Ron Paul speak before as he will have a portable microphone and will probably speak briefly to those gathered there. THANKS!

Why doesn't Rudy McRomney have to win straw poll?

The other day, on the local news coverage of the upcoming

straw poll, it was reported that Romney was scaling back

his manpower and dollar investment in the straw poll because

Giuliani and McCain were not participating. (slow burn)

How can this be? The controlled media has anointed these

3 front runner status, before the first actual contest. Now

when the first contest comes along, and they can't win

because of their east coast liberal politics, why are they given a

pass?

Shouldn't the front runners be able to win a straw poll?

If they can't win, why are they front runners?? Isn't that

the definition of a front runner? That you are a winner?

What upside down logic determined that "front runners"

don't have to win? That they can be given a pass?

It seems very much to me that we are being setup for

a situation where a Paul or Tancredo victory will "not

mean anything" because the "top three" did not participate.

Well then why are they the top three?

As you may know, Congressman Ron Paul was excluded from the Presidential Candidates Forum sponsored by Iowans for Tax Relief and Iowa Christian Alliance that is scheduled to take place that same day.

Although we would have liked to have participated, we see a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate to Iowa voters, the broad base of support for Dr. Paul.

So, right after the Presidential Forum, starting at 4:30 PM, Dr. Paul will hold his own rally, where he will share his positive and compelling message for America.

Our rally will be held at the same building as the Presidential Forum. We will be at the Hy-Vee Hall, Room C, Iowa Events Center, 730 Third Street, Des Moines, Iowa.

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul will celebrate life and liberty at a rally in

Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday, June 30th.

Dr. Paul will share his message of freedom, peace and prosperity

at the Hy-Vee Hall, Room C, Iowa Events Center, 730 Third Street, Des Moines, Iowa.

The rally will start immediately following the conclusion of the Presidential Candidates Forum

sponsored by Iowans for Tax Relief and Iowa Christian Alliance at approximately 4:30 p.m.

The public is invited. Food and beverage will be provided to the first 500 people who arrive.

Ron Paul Excluded in Iowa
Iowans for Tax Relief and Iowa Christian Alliance will host a presidential candidates forum on Saturday, June 30th in Des Moines. Republican presidential candidates Mitt Romney, Sam Brownback, Jim Gilmore, Mike Huckabee, Tommy Thompson, and Tom Tancredo will participate.

Ron Paul, however, will not participate. Why? Because he wasn't invited.

We heard about this forum from numerous supporters in Iowa who asked why Dr. Paul was not going to participate. Those supporters assumed that Dr. Paul was invited.

The campaign office had not received an invitation so we called this morning; thinking we might have misplaced the invitation or simply overlooked it. Lew Moore, our campaign manager, called Mr. Edward Failor, an officer of Iowans for Tax Relief, to ask about it. To our shock, Mr. Failor told us Dr. Paul was not invited; he was not going to be invited; and he would not be allowed to participate. And when asked why, Mr. Failor refused to explain. The call ended.

Lew then called Mr. Steve Scheffler, president of the Iowa Christian Alliance, to talk with him. Mr. Scheffler did not answer so Lew left a message. He has yet to respond.

Why are the Iowans for Tax Relief and the Iowa Christian Alliance excluding the one Republican candidate who scored at the top of every online poll taken after the MSNBC, Fox News, and CNN debates? Why are they denying Iowans the opportunity to hear from the Republican presidential candidate whose popularity is growing by the day?

We couldn't get answers to these questions from Messrs. Failor and Scheffler. Maybe you'll have better luck. Their contact information is below.

It's ironic that on the same day we learned the Iowans for Tax Relief and the Iowa Christian Alliance excluded Dr. Paul from their candidates forum, we received a call from ABC News confirming Dr. Paul's participation in its nationally broadcast August 5th debate to be held in Des Moines.
